‘EMBRACE THE UNKNOWN’ hits with a slow-burn tension, opening on warped vocal echoes giving it that haunting feel. The low-end rumbles in mutated waves, layering trap-infused percussion over vast, echoing pads that build to a drop heavy enough to send the room into a frenzy. It sounds like it can come straight from a Black Mirror episode and you can imagine how it hits at a live show. It keeps the core of SLUGZ’s hybrid bass DNA but drives it into darker, more cinematic territory than previous releases.
